Bundok Kumgang

Ang Bundok Kumgang, o sa Koreano Kŭmgangsan (Pagbabaybay sa Koreano: ]), ay isang bundok sa Hilagang Korea na may taas na 1,638-metro (5,374 talampakan). May higit-kumulang na 50 kilometro ang layo ninyo mula sa Sokcho, Gangwon-do sa Timog Korea. Isa ito sa mga tanyag na kilalang bundok sa Hilagang Korea. Matatagpuan ito sa dakong silangan ng bansa sa Rehiyong Pangturista ng Bundok Kumgang, na dating bahagi ng Kangwon-do ().

Bahagi ang Bundok Kumgang ng Bulubundukin ng Taebak, na sumasakop sa bandang silangan ng Tangway ng Korea.

Mga pampanahunang pangalan

Nakilala ang Bundok Kumgang sa magandang tanawin nito simula pa noong mga sinaunang panahon at iyon ang paksa sa iba't ibang mga gawang pang-sining. Kabilang ang pangalang pang-tagsibol na Kŭmgang (Hangul: 금강산; Hanja: ), may iba't iba pang mga pangalan ito para sa bawat kapanahunan, ngunit higit na malawakang kilala ito bilang Kŭmgangsan sa wikang Koreano. Sa tag-init (summer), tinatawag itong Pongraesan (봉래산, ); sa taglagas naman ay Phung'aksan (풍악산, o ); at sa taglamig ay Kaegolsan (개골산, ).

Heograpiya

Ang naturang bundok ay halos binubuo ng granito at dyorita, na sinubok ng panahon nang siglo-siglo na nagbigay ng maraming hugis, kabilang ang halos 12,000 mapaglarawang pagkakabuo ng mga bato, bangin, talampas, haliging bato at taluktok.

Karaniwang nakahati sa tatlong labwad o purok ang Bundok Kumgang: Panloob na Kumgang, Panlabas na Kumgang at Pandagat na Kumgang, na ang bawat bahagi ay mayroong tampok pangheolohiko at topograpiko.
