The iconic Flatiron Building at 175 5th Avenue between 22nd and 23rd Streets.
From the Empire State Building observation deck looking south. That road on the right-side is 5th Avenue, the roadway left of the Flatiron Building is Broadway.
From its start at Bowling Green near Wall Street, Broadway runs north initially parallel to New York City's grid system. Broadway runs north-south east of 5th Avenue until around East 10th Street, when it begins to turn northwest. It crisscrosses 5th Avenue between 23rd and 24th Streets (seen here), and cuts through 6th Avenue between 33rd and 34th Streets, then 7th Avenue between 44th and 45th Streets, then 8th Avenue at 59th Street- Columbus Circle, then cuts through Columbus Avenue (9th Avenue) at 65th Street, then Amsterdam Avenue (10th Avenue) between 71st and 72nd Streets. Broadway finally merges into (or more like, ends) West End Avenue (11th Avenue) between 107th and 108th Streets,
